Stock photo websites provide a rich vein of internet humour – it’s hard to explain why unless you suffer from stock footage fatigue, presumably from reading content on crappy content farms, or dogfooding at a frugal ad agency. This tongue-in-cheek parody of the generic advertising video ironically comes from stock video provider Dissolve, who have remixed it to a McSweeney sketch, cued to some twee, elevator pitch music. It’s an amazing demonstration of what ad agencies can do these days using just a computer – if you are a photographer or director, be afraid. Be very afraid.
